Hotel Breakfast Attendant

Fairfield by Marriott Carlisle is seeking a friendly and attentive part-time Breakfast Attendant to join our team.

Starting Pay: $15 per hour

Must be available to work weekends.

Job Duties:

• Setting up and maintaining/replenishing the breakfast bar as required by brand standards.
• Extra attention on cleanliness and sanitation.
• Taking inventory of food, beverages and supplies needed for each day/week.
• Preparing foods for the next day; eggs, meat, breads, muffins, fruit, cereal, yogurts, juice, coffee, etc.
• Setting up the breakfast bar includes: setting up serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups, napkins, cutlery, plates and bowls; setting out/arranging hot, cold, and pre-packaged food items; setting up beverages and their required condiments; etc.
• Following a menu/schedule for food offerings based on brand standards, per management.
• Cleaning and sanitizing tables promptly after guest use.
• Cleaning up any spills.
• Restocking items consistently throughout the breakfast hours and for the next day.
• Washing serving equipment and returning to storage.
• Keeping breakfast area clean including: cleaning the breakfast serving area equipment, counters, cabinets and walls; cleaning all dining area tables, chairs, and floor; cleaning breakfast kitchen counters, cabinets, equipment, appliances, shelves, sinks and floors; maintaining storage rooms; keeping all areas neat and organized.
• Following a cleaning schedule.
• Assisting with inventory and ordering on a regular basis.
• Other and all duties, projects, and tasks as assigned by manager.
• Greeting each and every guest that enters the breakfast area.
• Maintaining a personable attitude and friendly conversation with guests.
• Always offer further assistance and ensure every guests satisfaction.

Other information:

• Part-time hours available, 2-3 days per week
• Start time is 5:30am (breakfast opens one hour later, giving you that hour to set up)
• End time is typically around 12:00pm, depending on how long it takes to clean up and prep for the following day.
• Must be available to work weekends. (Ideally available every Friday & Saturday minimally.)
• Willingness to cross train in another department is not required, but may provide an opportunity for more hours. If you are happy with 2-3 days per week, that's great. If you would like more, we can talk about other opportunities for more days/hours such as cleaning public areas, helping in housekeeping, etc. We're open to either and this will not affect your chances of being hired.

Experience:

• Food service, customer service, or hotel experience is a plus, but not required or necessary.
