Job Purpose
The Fairfield Inn & Suites Charlotte Uptown is seeking a dedicated Bartender/Server. The purpose of a Hotel Bartender/Server at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Charlotte Uptown, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to our guests in our hotel restaurant and lounge area. You will ensure that guests have a pleasant dining experience by taking orders, serving meals, and attending to their needs with a friendly and professional demeanor. The Restaurant Server/Bartender must ensure guest satisfaction through dining room cleanliness and attention to our guests needs.
Essential Job Functions
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating.
- Present menus and answer questions about menu items, specials, and beverage options.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Deliver orders to guest tables and ensure prompt and accurate service.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area.
- Handle guest inquiries and special requests with courtesy and efficiency.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by providing attentive and personalized service.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe dining environment.

Experience/Education
High school diploma or general education degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Previous experience in a server or customer service role is a plus but not required. Strong customer service skills and a friendly, welcoming demeanor. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to varying guest needs. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Must be dependable and punctual.
