IT Systems Administrator

Are you a proactive IT professional who thrives on keeping systems running smoothly, supporting end users, and ensuring security and compliance? We’re seeking a hybrid IT Systems Administrator to join our team in Conshohocken, PA, balancing on-site engagement with remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain our hybrid Microsoft Active Directory environment
• Provide day-to-day help desk support for ~35 users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
• Oversee local infrastructure: 15 virtual servers hosted on three Hyper-V clusters with remote replication
• Design, implement, and monitor Veeam backup and recovery processes
• Administer MySQL database instances
• Support and configure Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) for development and project teams
• Enforce NIST SP 800-171 controls across systems and documentation
• Administer our GCC High/Gov Cloud Azure tenant, integrating Entra ID for identity and access management
• Configure and maintain Microsoft Sentinel SIEM for log aggregation and threat detection
• Manage Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Defender endpoint security

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications.

• 3 years administering Hybrid Active Directory in a small or mid-sized environment
• Hands-on help desk experience resolving Windows desktop, Office 365, and networking issues
• Proven track record with Hyper-V virtualization and Veeam Backup & Replication
• Solid understanding of MySQL database management and troubleshooting
• Experience using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) in an enterprise setting
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171 security requirements and implementation
• Direct experience with GCC High or Government Cloud tenants and Entra ID
• Proficiency configuring Microsoft Sentinel for security monitoring
• Strong working knowledge of Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, and Defender
• Excellent communication skills and ability to document technical processes clearly
• Prior work in DoD or regulated environments requiring high-impact security controls
• Scripting skills (PowerShell) for automation and reporting
