What are the responsibilities and job description for the Centralized Scheduler (Remote) position at Fairview Health Services?
This Orthopedic Centralized Scheduler position is responsible for pre-registering and scheduling patients for assigned services to the appropriate location with appropriate providers. This is done by handling inbound and outbound calls for orthopedic services within the MHealth Fairview and U of MN orthopedic care system. These calls involve reviewing orders, chart information and messaging to providers as needed for appointments involving Spine, Podiatry, Non-Surgical and Surgical Orthopedic visits.
Schedule: 9:30 am to 6:00 pm / Monday thru Friday
Responsibilities Job Description
- Be ready, present, polite, patient and professional.
- Answer all calls presented in a quick, timely, and helpful manner.
- Use scheduling workflows and resources appropriately
- Schedule and pre-register all patients in area assigned efficiently with correct provider for service needed.
- Help wrong callers by redirecting their call to most appropriate area for services as needed.
- Work and complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
Two or more years in a direct customer facing sales or service setting
PREFERRED:
Associates Degree or completion of medical terminology program
Two or more years of experience in a medical setting
Excellent attendance is a must.
