M Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist at the Imaging Center located in Maplewood, MN.
Position details:
1.0 FTE - (80 hours worked per 2 weeks)
Typical schedule is day/evening shifts including rotating weekends

Responsibilities Job Description
Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Performs excellent patient care
- Performs examinations
- Identifies relevant data from images accurately
- Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs.
- Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional.
- Participates in crafting a culture of patient safety.
- Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness.
- Verify patient identification and documentation.
- Connect with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam.
- Achieves quality diagnostic images through accurate patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol.
Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures
- Ensures patient data integrity
- Adheres to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/procedures.
- Accurately documents in compliance with regulatory agency requirements, completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changes.
- Follows infection control guidelines
- Serves as a resource for other healthcare team members.
- Responds appropriately to emergent situations.
- Accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving.
- Assesses the validity of the test results to determine if consistent with changing physiological conditions or if due to possible interfering substances.
- Acts as a resource for problem-solving resolution.
- Completed all require continuing education to uphold their imaging licensure.
Participates as an active team member
- Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives.
- Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position.
- Cleans and maintains room and supplies
- Provides coordinated services with customers and care partners to ensure high quality care and contributes to a positive work environment.
Accurately operates equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines
- Identifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working accurately.
- Maintains a high level of proficiency
- Accepts new technology as it’s introduced into the facility and participates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations.
Qualifications
Required:
Current Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) - from American Red Cross or American Heart Association and current before hire date
Preferred:
1 or years of experience in a related role
Additional certifications in Imaging
