M Health Fairview is looking for a CT Technologist at Fairview St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN. We are known for our award-winning heart, stroke and cancer care. Imaging Technologists deliver services to patients and physicians through the creation of high quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.
- St. John's offers 24/7 Imaging services to Inpatient Units and Emergency patients
- We have outpatient access seven days a week
- 1.0FTE (80 hours worked per two week pay period)- ADIT position
- Typical work schedule is a Flex schedule with a start time between 11:00AM-1:00PM, Monday – Friday
- 8 hour shifts

Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of high quality CT exams with attention to diagnostic detail using the lowest
radiation dose achievable. - Prepares, educates and interviews patients prior to their CT exams, to ensure they receive a safe
and appropriate exam. - Plans and prepares for patient visit prior to their arrival, to ensure quality and timeliness of patient care. This includes collecting medical history, collaborating with clinician, preparing paperwork and gathering supplies.
- Frequently responds to STAT and ASAP customer needs.
- Makes quick and patient focused decisions in times of high patient volume and rapid change.
- Keeps patient environment and work space clean and organized, which includes stocking linen and supplies in an organized and timely manner.
- Completes requisitions and charges for supplies in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring our patients receive timely diagnosis and care.
- Facilitates the performance of interventional procedures: captures medical history, coordinates care with other departments, sets up accurate equipment and supplies using proper sterile technique, communicates with performing physician and adhering to ALARA principles while always maintaining detailed patient care.
- Maintains knowledge of, and follows, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards.
- Actively participates in crafting and implementing improvements.
Qualifications
Required:
- ARRT
- BLS - from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred:
- ARRT CT certification or successful completion within 18 months of hire
- Prior CT experience
- Experience with EPIC/Radiant
