What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician I - Home Infusion position at Fairview Health Services?
Under the direction of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for day-to-day comprehensive pharmacy technician services in the Materials area of the Home Infusion pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for delivery ticket fulfillment, labeling and packaging medications and orders and inventory management.
The Pharmacy Technician I will skillfully use interpersonal, customer service, problem solving and collaboration skills to support and influence operational objectives.
Responsibilities Job Description
Partner with nurses, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure pharmacy patients receive their medication(s) and supplies accurately, safely, in accordance with all legal requirements and policies and in a professional and timely manner.
Under the direction of the pharmacist, fulfill and prepare prescription orders for delivery in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with all legal, regulatory agency and Fairview requirements.
Coordinate the ordering and delivery of medications, supplies and equipment to patients and clinical areas as requested.

Qualifications
Required
Experience
Completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program within one year of registering with state board OR one year of experience as a pharmacy clerk or like position within a healthcare setting.
License/Certification/Registration
Registered Technician with Minnesota Board of Pharmacy
Preferred
Education
- Graduate of Pharmacy Technician program
- Completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program
Experience
License/Certification/Registration
- Pharmacy certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
