Fairview Health Services is seeking a General Surgery Physician Assistant to join the General Surgery team in the East region. In this role, you will work independently in a supportive team setting at both M Health Fairview St. John’s in Maplewood and M Health Fairview Woodwinds in Woodbury, MN, and associated locations. You will be working closely with a well-established community General Surgery group and an experienced group of Advanced Practice Providers (APP), caring for patients with a diverse range of general, breast, surgical oncology, reflux, abdominal wall reconstruction, colon surgery and bariatric disorders.
Practice Details:
- Surgical patient care for a wide variety of conditions such as breast, oncologic, colon, foregut, complex hernia, endocrine, and bariatric in addition to general surgery
- Outpatient care for post-operative patients, and non-operative patient procedural needs
- Inpatient care including: Admissions and consults, daily rounding, operative assist, and discharge planning and education
- Leadership within the multi-professional team caring for your patients and within the provider group
- 1.0 FTE
- Monday – Friday with rotating weekends; hours dependent on patient care needs

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant training program
- BC/BE through the NCCPA
- Licensed or ability to obtain licensure through Minnesota Board of Medical Practice
- Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
- Ability to obtain ATLS within 6 months of hire
- 3 years experience in a Surgical practice as a PA is preferred
