What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Information Liaison position at Fairview Range?
Overview:
Manually indexes documents to the correct document type as established by corporate policy. Minimizes duplicate records and overlap entries. Verifies data integrity. Coordinates information with EPIC. Reviews the electronic content management system and records contained within for appropriate image quality and reviewing.
Responsibilities/Job Description:
- Batch create, prep, Scan & QC.
- Confirm applicable identifiers.
- Maintains within the productivity standards of images/hr while performing the Review process.
- Review each image in the batch and verify the following: a. Correct patient name and encounter b. Correct Document Type c. Proper indexing c. Image quality (readable, orientation, multiple sides, etc.).
- Maintains within the productivity standards assigned to the QA position.
- Process Release of Information (ROI) requests as assigned.
Required:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Strong computer skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Preferred:
- Three (3) years in Health Information Department
- Associate degree
- Completion of medical terminology course
- RHIT preferred
