Fairview Range is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to lead our Emergency Department in Hibbing, MN! We are a Level IV trauma center and an Acute Stroke Ready hospital. As a rural hospital, we make a difference in our community every day by providing life-saving treatment to the seriously ill and injured 24 hours a day, with an adjacent Urgent Care department seeing lower acuity patients 13 hours per day, 7 days per week. - 17 ER beds including 2 standalone trauma bays
- Multidisciplinary approach to all emergencies.
- Care delivery team: Board Certified/Eligible ED physicians and advanced practice providers, RNs, LPNs, Unit Assistants, dedicated Social Worker, dedicated Security Officer
- Telemedicine includes Telestroke and Telepsych
- Patient population: all ages

Responsibilities/Job Description:
- Applies a value based method when recruiting, interviewing, and selecting qualified employees.
- Participates in formal retention and recognition activities.
- Develops position descriptions/evaluations/essential functions for all job categories using staff input.
- Develops and implements department specific orientation / education / competency programs.
- Communicates clear, concise expectations and demonstrates accountability for employee performance by coaching, mentoring, and initiating disciplinary action when appropriate.
- Promotes and role models teamwork and positive working relationships.
- Establishes and maintains current policies and procedures for the department.
- Fosters a collaborative and positive working relationship with the interdisciplinary team members delivering patient care in the Emergency Department and Urgent Care.
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or demonstrates willingness to pursue degree within 2 years.
- Three (3) years of critical care nursing experience, at least two (2) or which is in a formal or informal leadership role.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota.
- ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800 certifications required, or willingness to achieve within two (2) months.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certification or willingness to acquire within six (6) months.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Three (3) years of direct patient care experience in emergency nursing.
- Three (3) years of formal management/leadership experience.
- Certification in Nursing Specialty.
Salary : $105,000 - $133,000
