What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pathologist position at Fairview Range?
Fairview Range Health Services is seeking a pathology physician to provide clinical care at Fairview Range Mesaba Clinics and Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing, MN. Our Fairview Mesaba Clinic is a growing regional multi-specialty provider group that offers primary and specialty care across Northeastern Minnesota. Fairview Range Laboratory Services includes a CAP accredited, highly complex hospital lab and 3 clinic labs. The clinic labs include a CLIA waived lab in Hibbing, and 2 COLA accredited labs in Mt. Iron and Nashwauk that perform moderately complex testing. We perform some testing on-site at the clinics, with other testing being routed to the hospital lab for processing. The hospital lab has a fully functional microbiology lab including molecular testing. We’re proud to offer a collaboration with M Health Fairview laboratory systems, which allows our patients local access to a more extensive array of lab services.

- Medical Director oversite for Acute Care Laboratory and Anatomic Pathology.
- Clinical Consultant for three ambulatory care clinics.
- Surgical Pathology, Hematopathology, and Cytopathology sign out with support from the M Health Fairview system
- Grossing in tissues, reading frozen sections, ROSE interpretations, diagnostic PAP sign out, and bone marrow collection procedure
- Opportunity to participate in M Health Fairview System Pathology activities such as consensus conference, quality monitoring processes, and consultative services with sub-specialized pathologists in the system.
- 1.0 FTE
- Fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).
- Board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology.
- Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
- Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
