Overview
Fairview Range is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our nursing leadership team as a Patient Care Supervisor (House Supervisor) in Hibbing, MN. The House Supervisor is an integral part of our care team, providing 24/7 leadership coverage for all departments in the hospital.
The House Supervisor directs and supervises staff in the delivery of patient care for all shifts and departments. This position functions in collaboration with department leadership to assure services are provided in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner that enhances patient safety, quality, and patient/employee/physician satisfaction. This position is 12-36 hours per two weeks, 12 hour Day/Night shifts and every third weekend.

About this position:
As House Supervisor, you oversee the multiple units within the hospital including but not limited to Behavioral Health, Women’s Health and Birth Center, Acute Care, Surgery, and Emergency Services. The house supervisor plays a key role in patient and staff safety, patient flow, emergency codes, and staffing. This role is integral to keeping hospital operations running safely and smoothly.

Responsibilities/Job Description
- The House Supervisor oversees staffing throughout the facility, working closely with our Staffing and Scheduling department to ensure adequate staffing in each nursing department based on patient needs and in response to changing conditions within Fairview Range.
- Assists with development and completion of annual staff competencies, job care requirements, and medical record deficiencies. Monitors compliance and takes action in the case of non-compliance.
- Provides ongoing positive and constructive feedback and coaching for employees.
- Ensures unit activities are conducted in compliance with specific labor regulations/contracts.
- Directs and supervises the day-to-day bed capacity activities of the Hospital by assessing and directing the flow of patients from all access avenues through admission, discharge and transfer at RRHS.
- Uses creative solutions to resolve problems and keep operations running smoothly.
- Assist with patient care as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of three years RN experience
- Incident Command System (ICS) Series 100, 200 and 700 or acquire within one year.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Minnesota.
Preferred:
- Minimum of two years management/leadership experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Certification in nursing specialty
