What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Immigration Case Manager position at Fakhoury Global Immigration?
Fakhoury Global Immigration (FGI ) specializes in business-based immigration. We help our clients in the movement of their talent across global borders. Our firm is focused on providing our clients outstanding strategic advice and complaint solutions while leveraging smart technology and lean processes. We are seeking a candidate to join our team at our headquarter office in Troy, Michigan, in the following corporate immigration areas:
Non-Immigrant case activity (H’s & L’s) & Immigrant case activity (PERM)
How you will be contributing:
- Assist with the initial document review of Non-Immigrant & Immigrant petitions and applications, including but not limited to document gathering, review and organization.
- Evaluate cases, relay concerns, and proactively escalate to the appropriate FGI team members(s).
- Prepare forms, letters, documents and correspondence for attorney review.
- Utilize online immigration case tracking system to monitor case status and activities on a daily basis.
- Prioritize daily workload based on fluctuating client deadlines & workload amongst team, while maintaining an appropriate sense of urgency.
- Assist other team members with case or document preparation, as required.
- Contribute to positive team morale.
- Organize, distribute, and file all USCIS/client mail.
- Participate in team calls, monthly immigration support team calls, and all staff meetings.
- Provide exceptional service following FGI’s service level agreements, processes, and technology.
- Communicate and correspond with clients, government agencies and supervising attorney.
- Assist firm by providing updates/feedback on knowledge of the firm, client, processes, and technology.
- Final review of filings and quality checks before attorney review.
- Other duties, as needed
Necessary Skills To Make an Impact:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ability to quickly learn our case management system.
- Strong attention to detail & organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Effective time management skills that allow the completion & management of high volume & fast-paced case work.
- Ability to problem solve and handle complex cases.
- Positive attitude with a desire to contribute, effectively collaborate and promote teamwork.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and/or paralegal certificate.
- 6 years of employment-based immigration experience.
