What are the responsibilities and job description for the Classroom Aide position at Fall Creek School District?
Duties:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing behavior management strategies and techniques
- Provide support and supervision to children in a daycare or preschool setting
- Assist with daily routines and activities, including mealtime, naptime, and playtime
- Help create a safe and inclusive environment for children with diverse needs, including working with individuals on the autism spectrum
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans
- Support the social-emotional development of children by promoting positive interactions and modeling appropriate behavior
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a daycare or preschool setting is preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies is required
- Familiarity with toddler care and preschool curriculum development is a plus
- Ability to work effectively with children on the autism spectrum or other special needs
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children
