What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic / Labor position at Fall Protection Systems?
Job Responsibilities
- Inspects and repairs vehicles with diesel engines, heavy equipment engines and standard engines
- Handles routine repairs and maintenance, including oil and tire rotations/changes, transmission flushes, air condition re-charges, front-end alignment, battery installations and headlight/taillight repair, etc. on all types
- Performs and identifies conditions by routine inspections and diagnostic test
- Advises management on repair options and costs through detailed inspection reports and repair plans
- Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems
- Completes test drives to make sure the vehicles and equipment runs efficiently and safely before employee use
- Knowledge of power, machine, and hand tools with the ability to use accurately
- Follows all motor/equipment vehicle repair regulations and standards
- Maintain service records, repair logs and receipts of all jobs performed to assure accurate vehicle records and job costing
- Operates al types of equipment within the yard where task requires
- Will perform winter snow removal of premises and its surroundings with company equipment
