Falzone's Service, Inc., a reputable automobile service provider since 1945, is seeking experienced Automobile Technicians to join our team at our state-of-the-art facility in Wilkes Barre, PA. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing vehicles, ensuring maximum reliability and functionality. This role requires excellent eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, and a deep understanding of complex mechanical or electronic systems of vehicles. Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills are also essential for providing advice to our valued customers.
Responsibilities
- Accurately diagnose issues by inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components
- Repair, maintain, and upgrade vehicle computer and electronic systems
- Perform routine maintenance work (e.g., replacing fluids, lubricating parts) to ensure vehicle functionality and longevity
- Schedule future maintenance sessions and educate motorists on good vehicle use
- Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g., leaks)
- Keep equipment and tools in good condition
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an auto mechanic
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles
- Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
- Ability to handle various tools (e.g., pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g., lift)
- Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals, etc.
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship (preferred)
- Valid certification (e.g., ASE) is a definite plus
- PA Inspection License (Preferred)
Compensation
This is a full-time position requiring more than 40 hours per week.
