What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foster Care Case Aide position at Families United Network?

A Foster Care Case Aide plays a vital role in supporting the well-being of children and families involved in the foster care system. Acting as a key support to caseworkers, the Case Aide helps transports children to appointments, and assists with essential documentation and communication. Their work ensures continuity of care, emotional stability for the child, and a smoother process for reunification or placement. Compassionate, dependable, and organized, Foster Care Case Aides help keep the system running and children safe and supported during one of the most vulnerable times in their lives.
Requirements:
  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • Prefer Undergraduate credits and active pursuit of a Bachelor’s level degree in the Social Services Field
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • State Police, FBI, and Child Abuse Clearances are required for this position and will be paid for by the agency

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Case Manager with case management services
  • Review client and family files for compliance purposes
  • Transport Clients and Families, as needed
  • Prepare and submit required reports and other documentation in a timely fashion
  • Attend meetings, conferences, trainings, and other agency functions, as required.
  • Show sensitivity to problems and work toward solving them in a resourceful way.
  • Provide for the safety and welfare of a child or children as would a parent.
  • Perform all other duties as outlined by the Program Office Supervisor that are within reason in supporting the successful operation of the foster care agency



Physical Requirements:
The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk, sit, and perform keyboard entry. The individual must be able to move and travel in the community in a vehicle. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner and maintain the standard of care that is appropriate for this position. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met.
