TECHNICAL MANAGER
STATUS AND SCOPE: Reports to General Manager. Manage technicians and technical assistants where applicable.
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma and some technical training.
- Minimum three years of Technician experience or equivalent experience in another company.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
General:
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain professional conduct and appearance at all times.
- Communicate effectively up and down the organizational structure.
- Complete special projects or additional work requests made by management on time.
- Be proactive in identifying problems which may compromise service, quality, safety and/or company financial performance.
- Maintain a cooperative and sensitive teamwork attitude when dealing with management, staff, and customers.
- Demonstrate continued improvement of knowledge and skills as it relates to your position. Your work should be free of excessive errors and meet all standards of the position.
- Maintain a well-organized, clean and clutter free work area and warehouse.

Supervisory:
- Perform interviews for technicians and assist in the hiring and termination process.
- Perform annual reviews and assist in the promotion and compensation process.
- Provide progressive corrective action immediately when necessary.
- Provide appropriate rewards and positive feedback immediately when warranted.
- Provide direction and guidance for technical staff in work assignments and projects.
- Assist in the succession plans of Technicians and Technical Assistants. Consistently recruiting new employees; act proactively instead of reactively.
- Meet with each supervised team member quarterly to discuss professional results, progress and future direction and goals.
- Represent your department(s) in company meetings when called upon to do so. Always provide input appropriate to the needs and status of your department(s).
- Work directly with other department supervisors to solve problems and improve communication, service, quality and company performance.
- Represent the company as the first line in dealing with service problems and guest complaints.
- Be aware of all areas of department weaknesses and existing problems. Have a game plan in place to improve and correct.
- Position yourself as a leader by example.
- Be creative in providing solutions, setting new direction, and improving your team.
- Always understand the needs of the customer and the needs of the business, how they relate, coexist and serve each other. Position your department(s) to facilitate this relationship.
Job Specific:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on games to minimize down time.
Games should be kept in a like new condition.
- Develop a preventive maintenance plan.
- Acquire parts for games from new or existing sources with the goal to minimize parts expense.
- Manage parts ordering and use and update web-based tracking system timely.
- Communicate all game problems or arcade operational issues with the General Manager.
- Manage and protect company assets including, but not limited to, equipment and systems containing sensitive or proprietary information and data.
- Work full shifts when scheduled; whether working alone or scheduled as the second person on a busy night shift. An employee must be on location all hours of the day from opening to close without exception.
- When on duty as the senior person present on site. Supervise the arcade to ensure the opening
/closing procedures are followed and assist the guests to ensure that there arcade experience exceeds their expectations.
- Greet each guest that has a problem or issue with a smile and good attitude and ascertain what is needed to resolve the issue in the quickest and fairest way possible to the guest.
- Be able to perform the duties of the Technician and train Technicians on the proper performance of those duties including token collections, filling instant prize displays and security procedures.
- Assist other locations in set up, tear down, game moves or improving their operations.
- Ensure compliance with company quality assurance programs. Implement performance improvement programs as required.
- Maintain effective leadership and working relationships with all departments and company personnel in accordance with the FEG Employee Policy and Procedure Handbook. Manage staff according to the standards and policies set forth by the company.
- Any other legal duties as required by the General Manager.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
