Job Description
Family Guidance Centers, Inc. (FGC), a not-for-profit behavioral healthcare organization, treats and prevents substance use disorder, as well as an array of other related problems. Since 1969, FGC’s comprehensive programming has educated and guided individuals toward their full potential as productive members within their own families and our society.
FGC’s adult and adolescent programming provides a flexible continuum of care to best address the individual needs of each participant. Through integrated and comprehensive services, including continuous assessment, participants are able to access levels of care and specific services to create an individualized treatment approach. Further, FGC provides special and high-risk populations priority access to specialized programming.

1st $1,000: After 3 months of employment
2nd $1,000: After 6 months of employment
Essential Duties:
- Promotes positive customer service culture which encourages quality patient outcomes and promotes staff retention
- Provides input on program design, counselor performance and reviews, and performance improvement projects
- Reports to Program Manager the appropriateness and timeliness of clinical documentation
- Assists in daily operation of clinical programs
- Maintains a caseload of approximately 50 patients
- Completes weekly report of counselor billable hours
- Completes monthly review of drug-free program discharge data
- Provides training and orientation to all counselors
- Coordinates and communicates with referral sources (DCFS, Probation) regarding participation and progress in treatment
- Assist in the recruitment process with prospective candidates for open positions
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00a - 4:30p) with flexibility to accommodate the agency's needs

Pay Rate: $36,000 - $46,000

Experience and Skills:
Education and/or Experience: Associate degree (or higher) in Addiction Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field is preferred; Experience in/with substance use, detox programs, medication-assisted treatment, behavioral healthcare and/or community relations encouraged to apply.
Certification, Licensure, Registrations: IAODAPCA Certified Alcohol and Other Drugs Counselor (CADC) required or able to obtain within allotted time of hire date
