Family Health Care Clinic, Inc. is a non-profit corporation that receives federal funds to provide healthcare services to the community regardless of insurance or ability to pay.
We are looking for a Mobile Medical RV Driver. The ideal candidate has a friendly personality and enjoys interacting with the public. This person will be responsible for driving a Mobile RV to and from scheduled outreach events throughout our service area. Some events may be scheduled on the weekends. This position requires a clean driving record and must be an insured driver in the State of Alabama.
Desired skills, knowledge and abilities: (REQUIREMENTS)
1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
2. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
3. Must possess a valid Class A Unexpired, unsuspended Commercial Drivers’ License with good driving record and the ability to drive the Mobile Medical RV to and from events.
4. Experience in tractor, trailer or bus driving is preferred. Must have graduated from an acceptable truck driving training program and have 2 years of driving experience.
5. Must be able to understand and comply with the applicable DOT rules and regulations.
6. Must be able to safely assist patients with or without assistance.
7. Able to demonstrate competency in all applicable areas.
8. Capable of a flexible work schedule, may include weekend shifts.
9. Must be able to interact with client personnel and health care team members in a responsible, professional and ethical manner.
10. Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment.
11. Must be flexible, reliable and demonstrate sound judgment and initiative.
Some of the additional duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Must be able to climb stairs to get in and out of vehicle
- Be responsible for driving the mobile clinic to and from the outreach events
- Be responsible for transporting supplies to and from each outreach event
- Submit request for additional supplies as needed
- Be responsible for all supplies and equipment used for outreach events
- Attend all staff meetings as requested
- Regularly lift 30 pounds boxes for transport
- Other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
