Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Family Health Center of Southern Oklahoma (FHCSO) in Atoka, Oklahoma. This part-time position offers 20 hours per week with shifts on Friday through Sunday. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to underserved patients in a collaborative and patient-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing high-quality patient care, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with treatments.
- Perform routine nursing procedures such as dressing changes, injections, and specimen collection.
- Document patient information and assist with maintaining accurate medical records.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, medications, and wellness practices.
- Ensure follow ups with patients concerning lab results, provider notes/recommendations, and scheduling of any additional tests/appointments.
- Assist with patient assessments and help coordinate care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures and visits.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment.
- Comply with all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA guidelines and FQHC protocols.
