Medical Assistant Job Description
Provide administrative and clinical support to healthcare providers in a fast-paced primary care setting, ensuring efficient patient flow and exceptional customer service.
Essential Functions:
- Present to work assignment on time and maintain strict patient confidentiality
- Maintain dress code and personal hygiene per company policies
- Triage patients, facilitate provider assessment, and provide patient information and instructions
- Assist providers in patient diagnosis, gather medical history, and prepare patients for medical exams
- Escort patients to exam rooms, measure vital signs, and document patient information
- Perform medical procedures under direct supervision, including phlebotomy, electrocardiograms, and laboratory tests
- Prepare and administer medications, transcribe medical dictation, and call in prescription orders
- Keep exam rooms stocked with medical supplies, take phone messages, and provide feedback to patients and providers
- Maintain logs and required checks, including refrigerator temperatures and emergency medications
- Perform other duties as assigned by clinical manager, supervisor, or provider

Education/Experience:
- High school graduate or diploma
- Two (2) year Medical Assistant experience in a primary care clinical setting
- Clear background check and drug screen
- Successful completion of Medical Assistance Training and/or certification program
