Family Life Care is looking for a Medical Billing and Collections specialist to join our team at a fast-paced home healthcare company in Orange Park, Florida. Strong understanding of Medical Claims, Billing and Collections is required.

- Performs medical billing and accounts receivable tasks to ensure proper reimbursement.
- Maintains patient account records to document billing and collections history.
- Use payer and clearinghouse portals to research and resolve unpaid claims.
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance in home health care
- Experience with Florida Medicaid and the HHAexchange system
- Strong knowledge of healthcare software and payer portal experience
- Experience working with Palmetto GBA (Medicare)
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
- Ability to research and find necessary information to submit or collect on unpaid claims.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail
- Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Positive attitude and be a team player
