What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hispanic Outreach - Translation/Interpretation Position position at Family Service of the Chautauqua Region Inc?
This position is a full-time position that provides translation/interpretation services for clients of Office of Mental Health (OMH) clinics, including Chautauqua County Mental Hygiene (CCMH), The Resource Center (TRC/GATEWAY), and UPMC Chautauqua in the Southern and/or Northern Chautauqua County area.
Essential Functions:
1. Focus on translation/interpretation services for clients scheduled by OMH agencies while providing limited case management.
2. At the request of the agencies, makes reminder/follow-up calls, send letters and other such services to the Hispanic/Latino clients.
3. Ensures coverage at the agencies on the dates and times needed.
4. Meets with the Hispanic Outreach Manager as needed.
5. Reports any problems or issues to the Hispanic Outreach Manager, Human Resource Manager, and/or Executive Director.
Education, Prior Work Experience, and Specialized Skills & Knowledge
1. High School graduate or equivalent.
2. Access to Transportation; possess a valid NYS driver's license with personal insurance.
3. Must be Spanish Bi-lingual and Bi-cultural.
Physical Environment/Working Conditions
The physical environment includes sitting and standing within an office environment. The environment includes face to face interactions with clients and office staff.
Equipment/Machinery Used
Computer - Word, excel and other standard computer software, fax machine, and telephone system.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
