What are the responsibilities and job description for the X-Ray Technician position at FAMILY URGENT CARE?
Family Urgent Care provides medical services to patients in the Northwest Indiana region and Chicagoland area on a walk-in basis. We are looking for a Radiologic Technologist who can also perform Medical Assistant duties.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
-Performing accurate routine x-rays that assist with patient diagnosis.
-Preparing and sending images to the Radiologist for reading. Providing reports into the patient medical records.
-Professionally obtaining patient information necessary for processing medical charges, including a copy of an insurance card, a copy of a driver license or other form of photo identification, and other information related to each patient situation.
-Collecting and processing patient payments.
-Assisting the practitioner with examinations, procedures, and other duties. Responsible for assessing, screening and triaging patients.
-Responsible for patient call backs
-Responsible for preparing exam rooms, decontamination of equipment, and stocking of supplies.
-Collects and documents vital signs. Collects and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.
Education/Experience Requirements:
-Must be a graduate of a certified school of radiography. CPR certification preferred.
-At least 1 year experience with routine radiography is preferred.
