Director of Slot Operations

Summary: Manages all activities related to the day-to-day operational activities of the slot department including slot services and the installation, maintenance and repair of slot equipment on the casino floor.

Essential Job Functions:

· The Director of Slots will report to the Senior Vice President of Operations regarding policy, purpose, responsibilities, authority and administrative matters.

· Responsible for the operation of and conduct of gaming at slot machines within the license facility.

· Formulates and administers slot department strategies, policies and procedures.

· Understands gaming technology trends in an effort to source and select slot machines and other gaming products to maximize revenue and profit.

· Designs slot floor layout and makes periodic adjustments to meet business objectives and customer preferences.

· Analyzes slot data and makes recommendations for slot product changes to meet customer demands and budgeted financial goals.

· Ensures slot equipment is maintained and repaired in an efficient manner to reduce down time.

· Develops and manages approved departmental budget.

· Works closely with the marketing department to administer marketing programs and special promotions according to program specifications.

· Provides input regarding slot product mix and makes recommendations to maximize slot revenue.

· Directs staff in the installation, maintenance and repair of slot machines.

· Develops and implements slot preventative maintenance program.

· Ensures compliance with regulatory controls both internal and external including but not limited to state and federal laws and the Illinois Gaming Commission regulations.

· Hires, trains and manages staff in accordance with organizational and approved departmental standards, policies and programs.

· Maintains control logs of keys and radios, ensuring their security on property.

· Maintains constant awareness of services, promotions, and events offered by the Casino and informs guests.

· Ability to extend complimentary services in accordance with the approved comp matrix.

· Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Must be 21 years of age or older.

· High School diploma or equivalent.

· Eight or more year’s progressive slot technical experience.

· Advanced technical knowledge of slot systems required.

· Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

· The ability to motivate staff through a teamwork approach.

· Proven leadership skills that include delegating as needed.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

· Must have 3 or more years’ experience in casino management with at least 1 year in a Director capacity.

· Ability to communicate with team members and guests.

· Available to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.

· Illinois Key License required.

· Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.

Physical and Mental Demands:

· Regularly required to see, walk, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

· Must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

· Able to work with others while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.

· Ability to work in a noisy environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
