Role Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Paralegal to join our litigation team. This is an on-site/hybrid role located in New York, NY. This position is open to both full-time and part-time candidates (2–3 days per week). The ideal candidate will support attorneys through all stages of litigation, ensuring cases are thoroughly prepared and efficiently managed. The Paralegal will assist with daily tasks including legal research, preparation and review of legal documents, and providing communication support to attorneys and clients. The role also involves managing case files, drafting pleadings, and other duties that support litigation processes.
Key Responsibilities
Assist attorneys with case preparation, legal research, document review, and discovery
Draft and proofread legal documents including pleadings, subpoenas, motions, and correspondence
Coordinate and manage document production, e-discovery, and case files
Summarize depositions, interrogatories, and other legal documents
Support trial preparation including witness and exhibit lists, trial binders, and logistics
Manage case calendaring, deadlines, and court filings (electronic and physical)
Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel professionally and promptly
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certification
Minimum 2 years of paralegal experience in commercial litigation is a plus
Familiarity with state and federal court rules and filing procedures
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficiency in Clio, Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite
Salary Range: $30,000–$65,000, commensurate with experience
