Job purpose:
To supervise and work with a diversity of contract turkey producers to assure that each flock is properly cared for in accordance to the company’s “best care” guidelines and to represent the Company in a positive manner.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have personal organization and time management skills.
- Continuous premise improvement responsibilities / accountability.
- Education and training of producers on poultry husbandry programs.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvements of company programs.
- Maintain necessary flock records.
- Make regular premise visits and document observations, recommendations and communications on a premise visit report.
- Monitor flock health and coordinate corrective actions with grow out and veterinary staff.
- Use and expand problem solving skills and data analysis skills.
- Be flexible in work hours to accommodate proper flock supervision.
- Develop personal skills and capability through on-going training, as provided by the company or elsewhere subject to Company approval.
- Any other assigned duties
Scope:
The position will typically supervise one million birds annually with consideration to geographic proximity and experience in a 45 hour work week
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
