Interning with Farm Credit of Florida offers an exciting opportunity to explore our mission to serve and finance rural America.
We are recruiting for a Finance Intern to join our team for the summer. This program is designed for students who would enjoy the opportunity to work alongside our finance professionals and gain practical experience in finance. Hands on interaction with the finance team will allow you the opportunity to observe the different roles within the department and learn aspects of those roles such as preparing annual budgets, analyzing data and the month-end closing process. This internship will be in our West Palm Beach office with the flexibility to travel to other offices.
Objectives :
- Learn about the Farm Credit System and Farm Credit of Florida products, services, mission, and function of the Finance department.
- Develop the basic skills to prepare a budget, create and audit reports and provide financial analysis.
- Understand the financial and accounting procedures of Farm Credit of Florida.
- Learn what key information is needed to help identify financial risks and create financial models.
- Understand and gain knowledge of financial laws, government policies and accounting processes.
- Assists with special projects, as assigned.
