Farm and Home Hardware is looking for an Assistant Manager to join our existing top-notch team. Established in 1960, we have over 60 years of experience helping our friends and neighbors complete their projects. The Assistant Manager is an important position who will work hand in hand with the General Manager and other Assistant Manager. Your day would be spent helping to grow an efficient, motivated, and productive sales team. You will maintain a positive representation of Farm and Home Hardware by encouraging employees to provide outstanding customer service experience consistent with company value. This position offers plenty of upside as we are continually working on building our bench for future expansion. You will be working with a family first company who understands that we are only as good as our team.
Successful candidates must possess:
- At least 3 years of customer service experience
- Basic management skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations.
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
- Eagerness to learn new things.
- A high attention to detail
- Commitment to excellence
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with a high attention to detail.
- Minimum High School diploma, GED, or equivalent education
- Computer experience including Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with the Epicor operating system and Ideal are a plus.
- Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel and carry products to perform and cover all customer support duties.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
Responsibilities for the Assistant Manager:
- Being a Servant Leader.. working hand and hand with your team and customers.
- Inventory management
- Collaborate with Management team to create an efficient and motivated sales team.
- Keeping employees busy and motivated
- Making sure the stores are clean and organized and product is being front faced and stocked by employees.
- Make sure that new hires are correctly being trained and kept on track with Onboarding and the Mentor Program
- Assist customers and run register when necessary.
- Foster the family feel kept here at Farm and Home Hardware
- Manage store operations and staff in the General Managers absence.
Job Requirements and benefits:
- Once established, your schedule will not change much as we would like to make sure you are able to develop a good work and life balance.
- Off most National Holidays
- The is a Full-Time (40 hours a week) schedule where you will be required to work at least one closing shift during the week and every other weekend.
- Starting Pay will range from $15-$19 an hour depending on ability and experience levels.
