Farmers offers different programs to help candidates decide what works best for them when making the decision to become an agent.

Protégé Program: The protégé program is made for candidates who would like to make a career change but is not sure about the process. This program allows you to be trained and have hands on experience with a mentor agent while also receiving training in the district office. This is a 12-month program that will ensure your future success while learning everything there is to know about the insurance industry. This program does not require financial assets and provides a base commission structure.

Retail Program: Similar to starting a franchise, you start with a branded office location and staff. Retail agents receive extensive training support through the process and the best bonus opportunities available to Farmers Agent Owners. You’ll be eligible to earn bonuses on top of commission for up to 3 years. Proof of financial assets is required.

Acquisition Program: Purchase an established Farmers Insurance Agency with a client/income base in place. You’ll benefit from extensive training and support as well as generous bonus opportunities.

Requirements:

· College degree (preferred but not required)

· Sales, customer service, and time management skills

· Self-Motivated and goal-oriented

· No bankruptcies, or criminal record with felonies

· Strong organizational skills

· Willing to obtain Property, Casualty, Life and Health Insurance licensing (If not already licensed.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
