Job Summary:
Drives diesel-powered tractor-trailer combination to transport finished poultry products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Drives truck to destination for delivery of product to customers.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Pre- and post-trip inspections report any discrepancies in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Maintains driver logs according to DOT hours of service regulations.
- Assists with or unloading of trailer when required by the customer, including breaking down pallets and separating products.
- NYC trips may be required. Drivers may be required to lay over in the truck between trips.
- Drivers are required to wear company-provided uniforms.
Required Qualifications:
- No major violations in the previous 3 years on the MVR report.
- Minimum 2 years CDL class A driving experience.
- High school education; or up to one-year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to speak English, and read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals. Must understand DOT regulations.
- No DUI convictions in the last 5 years
