Job Purpose
The Financial Records Keeper provides accurate financial records of the church and school and its programs to the Session, Administration Committee, Day School Director, and the Day School Board.
Qualifications
- Associates or College Degree
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in similar financial record keeping position.
- High degree of data entry skills.
- Knowledge of mathematics, computer operations, Microsoft Office, Quick Books and ProCare software and general knowledge of accounting.
- Requires high degree of accuracy in preparing financial records, such as federal tax reports, payroll, customer statements, and checks.
- Requires strict confidentiality.
· Maintain current first aid and CPR certifications
Specific Duties
· Finance
- Oversee or assist with financial records of the Day School, Before/After, and Summer Programs including billing, tuition deposits, and account ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, tax reporting, bank accounts, monthly income statements and balance sheet.
- Prepare checks for account payables within vendor’s terms.
- Prepare and make timely/daily school related bank deposits.
- Calculate payroll from approved time sheets and prepare direct deposits for hourly and salaried employees on a bi-weekly basis.
- Calculate and deposit bi-weekly payroll taxes.
- Calculate, prepare, and file Federal and State tax reports monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
- Calculate and prepare employee W-2 forms annually.
- Reconcile monthly school revenue and all tuition payments.
- Create and distribute month end reports and assist in monthly financials for church and school.
- Manage and process all ACH vendor payments.
- Record and balance all incoming deposits from 2 electronic payment lines.
- Record and balance credit card and debit transaction accounts.
- Distribute and create any grant payments or submissions for required state approval.
- Reconcile monthly operational checking, debit and grant accounts.
- Submit and record all employee bi-weekly investment contributions.
- Ensure financial records and student data are backed-up, secure and treated as confidential.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $27.50 per hour
