QUALIFICATIONS
- High school graduate.
- Experience with students with Autism preferred.
- Ability to meet the State of Michigan’s requirement for Highly Qualified; Associates Degree or equivalent,
60 credit hours’ post-secondary coursework at an accredited college or university, or a passing score on
either the Basic Skills Test MTTC or on the ETS ParaPro Assessment, preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with students, staff members, parents and

- Possess academic skills to support students in school content courses to include any additional building
- Physical ability to lift, push and pull 50 pounds regularly.

- Physical management might be necessary. Must be CPI trained or willing to be CPI trained within 30

classroom or day-care training program, or advanced training in a community college or degree-granting
institution whose special education instruction and training program has been approved by the state is
preferred but not required for current ESP applicants.
