Day to Day Responsibilities:
Administration:
- Benefits: Work with insurance brokers to select annual health insurance plan options and evaluate potential additions to or removals from the company's benefits package.
- Payroll: Supervise the Payroll Department and support payment of wages and taxes; conduct annual audits of pay equity and reviews of pay bands.
Compliance:
- Policies: Develop and submit company policies and procedures for counsel review.
- Investigations: conduct investigations of harassment, discrimination, and workplace violence accusations.
- Performance Management: complete the annual rollout of the performance review cycle and ensure all reviews are completed.
Strategic Leadership:
- Training: Conduct annual Foremen training at each branch; manage the build-out and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS); provide guidance to managers on employee relations.
- Team Management: Oversee departmental workflow to ensure accuracy and quality; develop and review SOPs for HR department tasks annually; identify development opportunities and support ongoing professional development for team members.

Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources related area preferred
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, HRCI-PHR, or HRCI-SPHR certification preferred
- Previous experience in an HR management role required
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal employment and payroll regulations
- Experience working in a union environment and working knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreements preferred

Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually depending on experience.
