Description:
Fastener Dimensions Inc. is in search of a skilled and reliable accounting clerk to join our accounting team. The potential candidate will ensure accuracy and efficiency of billing operations that include: generating invoices, processing incoming payments, monitoring past due accounts, order entry, and processing. The Person should be detailed oriented, a team player, and possess excellent communications skills to keep us on good terms with our vendors.
Responsibilities:
- Match all invoices with their purchase orders/ work orders
- Resolve all discrepancies, create deductions or charge backs as necessary
- Stamp and code invoices
- Batch and post all complete invoices
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Sort and distribute mail
- Process deposits
- Work with Vendors and respond as needed
- Maintain vendor files
- Prepare payment both check and electronic payments for the controller to process
- Order entry and processing
- Perform AR procedures including creating invoices, resoling billing inconsistencies, and identifying overdue accounts.
- Record payments accurately
- Submit invoices through multiple automated billing platforms as requuired by customers.
- Provide detailed aging reports to manager
- Reconcile customer issues such as pricing, shipping shortages/overages, and other issues
- Conduct credit checks
- Monitor accounts receivable and minimize outstanding A/R balance by enssuring the timely collections of payments.
Qualifications
Required:
- Moderate experience in accounts payable
- Advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft officer (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to calculate figures and amount such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Capable of handling fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Data entry: 3-5 years
- Accounts payable 3-5 years
