What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Designer position at Faster Way to Fat Loss?
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual who has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think strategically. A knowledge of both typography and color theory is critical. This role will often find themselves juggling several projects almost simultaneously. This position is expected to collaborate with other designers as well as our sales and marketing departments to create effective and eye-catching images and campaigns to increase our customer base. It is essential to confer in advance and offer suggestions to team members, as well as understand what is required for a design standpoint. Job duties include, but are not limited to, developing graphics both for print and digital platforms that enhance our accompanying text and convey an accurate message. Past experience with substantial portfolio examples of successful campaigns would be beneficial.
Essential Functions
- Create and design various materials for print and digital collateral
- Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule
- Establish creative direction for the company as well as brand guidelines
- Create visualizations (either by hand or via a software program) which convey accurate messaging and undertones as dictated by the project
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions
- Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software
- Manage daily project status within the areas of the marketing department
- Stay up to date on new FASTer Way initiatives and brand vision
- Expert knowledge of current design software
- Obtain input from management, ensuring designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company or client appropriately
- Examine existing processes, identifying flaws and creating solutions to improve design capabilities
- Update and maintain internal databases of designs, photography, and video
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic arts, design, communications, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in graphic design
- Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred
- Knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, Sketch, InDesign, and other graphic design software
- Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects
- Excellent eye for detail
