Printing Press Assistant
Fastik, a printing and packaging company, operating in Phoenix, is looking for a printing press assistant.
A printing press assistant is a member of a team like a pit crew, that works together to support each other in getting the equipment up and running.
Duties will include all aspects of keeping our press up and running, include,
Bringing skids of materials to and from the press/preparing pallets to ship
Assist in loading of printing tools to machine
Ink preparation and also wash ups
Press area must be kept clean- sweep and mop as needed
Carry buckets of ink, or using a drum dolly to move drums of ink
Other duties that the supervisor /press operator ask you to do
Qualifications:
Must be able to operate electric pallet jack
Able to lift tooling which is 40-50 lbs and place into machine.
Willingness to work with solvent inks.
Willingness to learn to operate and train on forklift.
This will be for a 2nd shift position – training to be done on 1st shift
Work with solvents and inks
Wear steel toe shoes/boots
Wear cut gloves when working with blades
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.50 per hour
