Position Title: Program Coordinator Reports To: Director
Job Status: Full-Time / Exempt Direct Reports: Program / Department Staff
Description of this role: Responsible for providing leadership to program department, assisting with the managing, planning, and completion of activities related to the monitoring, documenting, and reporting of the program/department.
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities - includes the following and other related duties may be assigned.
- Review and possess a working knowledge of all programs, projects, and forms related to department.
- Oversee staff, timesheets, PTO requests, coaching, uphold policy, and communicate daily with Director..
- Assist with managing the day-to-day duties and recruitment efforts for department.
- Oversee the on-going case management of team including ensuring weekly contact with graduates for at least one year after graduation to monitor achievement of program goals.
- Completion and distribution of class roster, assisting with the facilitation of peer and family support groups, the development and selection of topics and programs, and securing outside guest speakers.
- Assist with the development and/or facilitating staff trainings and in-service education specific to social services team. Provide presentation of services. Travel to multiple locations.
- Serve as liaison to collect all monthly statistics/data; prepare monthly summary of statistics.
- Provide onboarding, training, and assistance to new hires, staff, and subcontractors.
- Prepare reports for and participate in all staff and department meetings and facilitate meetings, as necessary.
- Utilize community resources and social support systems, to assist the team in aiding clients with reaching their goal of self-sufficiency.
- Oversee bonding activities, distribution of incentives, bus tickets, and gas cards.
- Observes parent/child interactions and processes child abuse/neglect applications as needed.
- Serve as backup to Director and attend all staff meetings. Travel and attending external events as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have effective verbal and written communications skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to utilize agency and community resources to meet goals.
- Must be able to organize and present information; be team oriented and be able to work independently.
- Must understand and practice the NASW code of ethics.
- Must be familiar with MS Office Suite.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or management preferred. Bachelor’s degree in related field in combination with experience may be sufficient. Min. 3 years’ experience.
- Must have competence in working with men and women who need direction as it relates to parenting issues.
- Must possess a valid Missouri driver’s license and have a reliable, insured vehicle.
