11 Month Contract-Salary Range $56,149.20- $95,466.60
GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK: Performs responsible professional assessments and consultations. Assist teachers, administrators, and other staff members in understanding assessments and addressing students’ needs. Provide counseling and crisis management. Work is performed under general supervision. E
SSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL TASKS: (These are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed. Administers appropriate psycho-educational, developmental, and/or emotional and behavioral assessments which assist with eligibility for special education and risk assessment; Provides individual and/or group counseling interventions; Reviews information, collects data, and collaborates with educators to assist in student improvement; Maintains appropriate assessment materials/tests; Serves as a member of the multi-disciplinary team by attending meetings, assisting in the evaluation of students, communicating evaluation information, and making appropriate recommendations; Assists with crisis management; Participates in supervision. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have strong skills in FBA and BIP; must have strong technical skills and be able to successfully work with web-based programs; training and/or experience in the mental health field required; cross-battery assessment knowledge preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Licensed School Psychologist required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight, 5-10 pounds. Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station.
