Grade 1 Teacher

Grade 1 Teacher Fausey Elementary School Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Create lesson plans that meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students - Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans - Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities - Employ a variety of instructional strategies that engage students at a high level - Guide the learning process toward the achievement of established district and state curriculum standards - Regularly assess and monitor student progress and achievement - Utilize various curriculum resources and technologies to enhance student learning - Create a positive classroom environment that supports effective teaching and learning - Create a safe, structured and positive classroom environment which is responsive to student diversity, utilizing positive behavior interventions and strategies - Regularly communicate student progress with parents/caregivers - Maintain accurate records - Participate in ongoing professional development/training - Attend required faculty/staff meetings Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution - SEI endorsement - Massachusetts Elementary Certification required Salary: Per Unit A Contract
