We are seeking a part-time Human Resources assistant to support the people operations of our private country club. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working in a close-knit, service oriented environment and wants a flexible, part-time schedule.

Over the past five years, membership has more than doubled, and our employment base has grown commensurately. We have a full-time staff of almost 40 and up to 130 employees during our prime-time golf season-clear indicators of a club thriving with energy, engagement, and demand. This remarkable growth has transformed our club into a vibrant, fast-paced environment where leadership, adaptability, and forward-thinking ideas matter every day.
- Support recruiting and hiring, including posting positions, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.
- Lead and support new hire onboarding, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee relations questions, providing guidance to employees and leadership.
- Assist with maintaining and updating HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
- Help ensure HR practices align with applicable employment laws and best practices.
- Maintain employee records and support general HR administrative needs.
- Prior experience in Human Resources, preferably in hospitality, service, or a similar people-focused environment.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Working knowledge of recruiting, employee relations, and onboarding processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Preferred qualification-professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
