Assistant Baseball Coach
Description:
Fay School seeks a dynamic and flexible individual to help coach within our baseball program. Fay is seeking candidates who love to coach baseball and understand how to engage middle school children.
Qualifications:
We seek an experienced, motivated individual who has a background in coaching and education and who understands how young people learn. A bachelor’s degree and coaching experience at the youth level (or higher) is preferred. Applicants should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates should be familiar with the developmental needs of 10-14 year olds as well as the appropriate athletic area content.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Coaching after school (approximately 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday)
- Organizing the coaching and playing environments and establishing routines that support children’s athletic skill acquisition and development
- Partnering with the Director of Athletics to create and implement athletic programming
- Working with Fay School teachers and parents as partners in the pursuit of students’ “wellness of mind, body, and spirit,” a core value of the School
