What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Fayetteville Manor?
Job Summary/Tasks:
1. Follow daily routine of cleaning toilets, sinks, showers, tubs, floors.
2. Handle daily spills.
3. Clean front entrance.
4. Restock carts.
Physical Demands:
Good physical health. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift. Ability to push and pull brooms and mops. Ability to move furniture. Will be required to stand, walk, bend over, reach overhead, crouch, kneel, crawl, and balance. Will be exposed to dust, weather, etc. Repetitive use of both hands and feet. Both hands will do firm strong grasping. Standing for long periods of time.
Working Conditions:
Working in an area which may have slippery floors, changing temperatures, sharp objects, running water, and fumes. Clean, ventilated, well lighted environment. Will be outside at times. May be subject to the following hazards:
1. Burns form hot water.
2. Exposed to various cleaning agents, germicidal and disinfectants.
3. Injury from falling on wet floor.
4. Muscle strain from lifting.
Job Specifications:
Must be able to read, interpret and follow written directions. Must be able to follow oral directions. Must be able to understand any cautions written on cleaning agents.
Special Skills:
Positive attitude. Willingness to perform repetitive tasks. Understanding of infections, preventions and control. Willing to work in any area.

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekends as needed

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
