Description
Summary:
The Production Assembler assembles component parts, while adhering to a specified set of blueprints or schematics. This position will use hand tools and mechanical equipment to manufacture a product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble various components.
- Inspect parts to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Cross-train in other areas of the production floor.
- Perform simple calculations.
- Maintain clean work area.
- May assist in training new employees.
- Perform other duties and projects as needed and assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 0 to 6 months of assembly or production experience.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Experience using basic hand tools such as drills and screwdrivers preferred.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be fluent in English (verbal and written).
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug test and a reference check.
Physical Demands:
- Required to stand, push, pull, have eye/hand/foot coordination, occasionally walk.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
- This position works in a manufacturing environment.
- Clarity of vision including the ability to appropriately differentiate colors.
- Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.
