FDH Aero is looking for a Director, Sales who will be responsible for driving sales revenue and market share growth for FDH. This individual will focus on building and maintaining strong customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and developing and executing sales strategies to achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Generates business opportunities, determines the need for cross-division teaming and external strategic partner/alliances to gain business
- Increase market share and retain customers by leveraging FDH Hardware capabilities
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve revenue targets
- Manage the sales team to create and maintain strong customer relationships
- Work closely with the team to negotiate contracts and pricing
- Participate in industry events to build brand awareness, network with customers and suppliers, and gain market insights
- Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring that sales targets are met or exceeded while controlling costs
- Collaborate with marketing to create effective promotional campaigns
- Prepare and present sales proposals and presentations to customers and other stakeholders
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscape to provide insights and recommendations to the team
- Report out to executive management team regular basis
- Minimum of 10 years of sales experience in aerospace distribution or related industry
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field; Master's degree is preferred
- 3-5 years of experience interacting with vendors and customers in a technical and engineering environment
- Highly e xperience in preparing comprehensive internal quarterly business reviews (QBR), presenting strategic plans and implementation steps to grow sales, demand creation and improve customer service, and ability to lead regular QBRs with major customers that unlock additional sales opportunities
- Willingness to travel frequently to meet with customers and attend industry events
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company's overall business goals
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills
- Results-oriented with a track record of achieving sales targets
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans, achieve revenue targets, and drive business growth in a competitive market environment
- Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and empower team members, foster a collaborative work environment, and drive results
- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
