What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drawbridge Operator (Shark River Bridge) position at FDI Services?
Drawbridge Operator position available at the Shark River bridge in Belmar, NJ. This is a very desirable opportunity to work at an interesting and unique job. We are looking for safety-conscience individuals to operate the bridges safely and highly dependable people to maintain our bridge houses in “Tip-top” shape.
The position is full-time, all year-round. Paid training is provided!
Qualified Candidates Must:
- Be able to pass a drug screening, and continuously remain Drug-Free and maintain a Drug-Free Workplace
- Read and write English
- Follow safe Operating procedures
- Perform minor bridge house maintenance and cleaning
- Have strong attention to detail
- Be reliable and dependable.
- Must be able to have regular reliable and dependable attendance (Bridge will be manned 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, year-round)
- Must have good vision with corrective lenses, ability to see all colors and able to go up and down stairs
- Must be able to start ASAP.
- Must live close to the jobsite
- Job requires weekends (must be flexible)
Shifts Available:
- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday - 9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
- Saturday - 1:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- Days off are Thursday and Friday
