The Position Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations efficiently.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal utilization of the dentist's time.
- Handle patient check-in and check-out processes, including collecting necessary information and payments.
- Verify insurance coverage and process medical collections as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage electronic health records using software like Dentrix Ascend
- Assist with medical billing processes, including coding with ICD-10 when necessary.
- Provide support to dental staff as needed to ensure a seamless workflow.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, appointments, and any inquiries they may have.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous or in a similar role in office is preferred.
- Ascend or other dental practice management software is an asset.
- procedures and insurance verification processes is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills; candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Understanding of ICD-10 coding is a plus but not required.
- A commitment to providing outstanding customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for patients.
