SUMMARY
As a Warehouse Associate, you will receive inbound products, select outbound orders, and store products throughout the warehouse. You will uphold the integrity of food and warehouse safety procedures. Support and trains our volunteers when needed.
Requirements
- Operate warehouse equipment to include forklift, electric pallet jacks, stock picker and stand reach forklift to perform tasks.
- Load/unload trucks and trailers with product.
- Select and organize orders for pick-up, deliveries, and direct distributions.
- Accurately pick and receive product shipments.
- Process incoming donations and store donations within warehouse.
- Rotate products; including but not limited to, fresh produce, perishable foods, and frozen products.
- Utilize hand held PDA devices to scan product and update warehouse locations.
- Maintain hygienic work areas; to include cleaning upon completion of the shift. (Ex: sweep aisles, pick-up trash, and compact cardboard).
- Perform pre-shift inspection of warehouse equipment. Report any defects immediately to the supervisor.
- Uphold Safety and Food handling regulations.
- Committed to the organizational goal of ending hunger.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during a shift
- Ability to use forklift, stock picker, reach forklift; must be forklift certified
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays when required
