Bartender Job Description:
Felipe’s Bartenders uphold the reputation as some of the most fun and talented professionals in the industry. The Bartender provides expertly made cocktails and the highest level of guest service to every person that comes to our bar. Bartenders are passionate about drinks and ingredients and knowledgeable in many areas of liquor production, mixology, technique, and cocktail styles. The Bartender is often the first person our guests come in contact with and it is their job to direct new guests that may need help, this can include: accurate information about our menu, our style of service, or answers to any questions about Felipe’s a guest might have. Additionally, Bartenders are key salespeople for the restaurant and must have extensive knowledge of the food and drink menus, the values, mission, and history of the business, and the culture and atmosphere we strive to provide. The Bartender’s direct supervisor is the Manager on duty.
Bartender Daily Responsibilities:
- Be ARRIBA with all guests and team members
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in all areas of the bar, bar storage, and bar prep areas
- Maintain the Felipe’s recipe and quality standards for all bar offerings
- Follow the Felip’s steps of service for every guest
- Strictly follow the Felipe’s carding policy
- Bar prep, juicing, and batch recipes
- Remain professional at all times
- Care and cleaning of all specialty bar equipment
- Continued education on spirits and the customs and cultures associated with them
- Continued education on bar drinks and recipes
- Valid Responsible Vendor’s permit
Bartender Additional Responsibilities:
The overall appearance of the bar, quality of drinks, and quality of service are the direct responsibility of the Bartender and Barback on duty. The Bartender and Barback are peers and must work as a team to serve our guests. To effectively manage high volume while maintaining the highest level of standards the Bartender is responsible for respectfully directing and delegating to the Barback. Additionally, to maintain the cleanliness of the bar, Bartenders and Barbacks must participate in Deep Cleaning Days.
